WHAT DOES EARTH & RASCAL STAND FOR?

I am a huge advocate for self-expression and empowerment, with a hope of creating something that sparks joy. So what better way than to handcraft unique, playful, elegant earrings for you guys to shine in and be your true, colourful, authentic selves ☀ 

The name stems from being a huge lover of being outdoors in nature, appreciating all the wonderful sights and sounds around me, and connecting with Mother Earth. My love of vibrant colours and clashing patterns is complemented perfectly by the softer colour palettes and tones of our vast world that you'll often see reflected in my earring designs. The ‘Rascal' part is not only a cheeky little shoutout to all the lovely little rascals in my life…you know who you are - but a nod to our own playful, rebellious, inner child, that we often suppress as adults. Life can be so busy and serious, with very little time left to slow down and just 'be'. I wanted to create something that speaks to that playfulness inside us all. To encourage you to just let go, have fun and embrace the little Rascal inside of you. We're all a bunch of Rascals 💛

When it comes to fashion, I love that our choices can say so much about each of us. I love that the same outfit or accessory can be worn by a hundred different people, and they’ll all be styled in completely different ways. I love that our bodies really are blank canvases for us to express ourselves, in the colours, textures, patterns and aesthetics we choose to showcase in our daily lives. Take dresses for example. Some people wear heels with dresses, others who pair them with trainers, and some who do both – not one better than the other, or one right or wrong. And Earth & Rascal has been born out of a desire for people to feel they can just be their authentic selves no matter who they are, styling their new earrings in whatever way works for them. I want people to feel confident in their own skin, and by creating fun and cheerful earrings, we all get a moment to express our diverse personalities in the form of colourful and quirky ear-wear.
